The time per time step is estimated from a 800x570x31 grid on 256 processors.

This can be made more accurate by including timings for other grid sizes and processor counts in the heuristics. For large cases the estimate is fairly accurate. Small cases and/or non hydrostatic pressure can easily increase the run time by 30% or more.
